Waterford's Tadhg De Burca has failed in his appeal to the DRA to have his red card, received against Wexford in the All-Ireland quarter-final against Wexford, overturned.
On Thursday night, De Burca went before the DRA in a last ditch attempt to be available for Sunday's semi-final against Cork.
It emerged in the early hours of last night - just 62 hours before throw-in for the semi-final - that De Burca had failed in his appeal.

De Burca had previously stood before the CAC and CHC as he tried to have the one-match suspension repealed. Harry Kehoe, the Wexford player involved in the sending off, even gave testimony on De Burca's behalf to the CHC.
De Burca, playing in a sweeper role, has been a key player for Waterford this season in their run to the final four of the hurling championship.
