Kilkenny are like the bad guy at the end of a terrible slasher film. They're never actually dead. You've got to shoot them in the head and Waterford did not do that.
Towards the end of a pulsating All-Ireland semi-final, the Deise hit a succession of wides. It was a detrimental lapse in an otherwise excellent Waterford performance.
With 69 minutes on the clock, Walter Walsh popped up with a crucial goal to level the game for Kilkenny. A Pauric Mahony free put Waterford ahead once again but Conor Fogarty found an equalising point to send the game to a replay.
Here's how the GAA world reacted to a superb game at Croke Park.
What a game oh what a game. It had everything 👏👏👏👏👏#KKvWAT

Waterford, with all their skill and ferocity, should have pushed on in the last ten. An awful waste of an otherwise epic effort
