Kerry minors easily progressed to the final of the All-Ireland minor football championship after an easy win over Kildare, by 2-26 to 0-10. And easily the most notable of the performances from the Kingdom was that of their corner-forward, David Clifford.
Clifford weighed in with 0-8 points over the course of the game (bringing his tally for the campaign up to 1-34), and also set up a brilliant goal with a catch that will have Kerrymen muttering the name 'Bomber Liston' or, latterly, 'Kieran Donaghy'.
And he had educated observers absolutely purring as they watched on.
Seven points for David Clifford. If only All-Stars extended to minor. #GAA

We thought we mightn't see as good a minor as Killian Spillane for years and then Kerry produce David Clifford...

David Clifford showing his Hogan Cup final performance was par for the course! Class act with his own scores & creating others #FutureStar

Hard to believe David Clifford will be a Kerry Minor again next year. Serious talent.

We have encountered Clifford before. After he scored 2-05 for St Brendan's College in their win over St Patrick's from Derry in the Hogan Cup final this year, he had his jocks unceremoniously dropped by one of his mates during an interview with TG4.
Definitely one to watch.
