Episode two of the HSE's series, 'Club Man', following Vinnie Murphy's journey to QUIT smoking focuses on his relationship with his club team, St. Monica's.
For all that he has achieved in the game, it's clear that his local side still means a great deal to him as he is involved in a coaching capacity, as well as togging out when he can.
He's still an inspirational figure when he comes off the bench as assistant manager Pat Finn and player John Coughlan note that he recently scored 1-02 as a substitute.
The problem is that by Vinnie's own admission as well as theirs, he does tend to tire out by the latter stages of a game.
St. Monica's are a small but spirited club that have battled back from days when they struggled to field a senior team, but are currently embroiled in a relegation battle.
With a crucial match against the team immediately above them on the horizon, however, there is a huge chance for them to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
One of Vinnie's main sources of inspiration to QUIT is knowing the improved fitness levels he'll be able to utilise in this crunch match.
It may well turn out to be the difference between victory and defeat, just like quitting may well turn out to be the difference between a long, healthy life and one that is blighted by smoking-related illnesses.
