In a repeat of September's All-Ireland final, Dublin again emerged with a win after an impressive showing in the opening game of the Allianz National Football League at Croke Park on Saturday evening.
Bernard Brogan and Paul Flynn were missing for the Dubs, but a fantastic performance from Paddy Andrews ensured that their absence was not an issue after he bagged a goal and four points with Dublin eventually winning by a score of 2-14 to 0-14.
After the match the Setanta panel discussed Andrews' man of the match performance:
Jim Gavin will be a very happy man this evening.
In the end Dublin could have scored 7 or 8, and their ability to create scoring chances will certainly be encouraging for the fans going forward.
Well done to Paddy Andrews the deserved MOTM with a tidy 1-4 from play. #COYBIB #DUBvKER pic.twitter.com/JXzyFMm9cn
