Donegal’s under 21 all star Michael Carroll scored an absolute beauty of a solo goal for Gaoth Dobhair tonight in their defeat to Naomh Conaill in the Donegal Senior Club Football Championship.
Dobhair appeared to be in a commanding position midway through the second half when they were six points ahead of their opponents. However a superb second half performance by Naomh Conaill meant that they were the ones to progress to the final.
The 19 year old latched onto the ball at around the half-way line before powering past a few defenders and thumping the ball home:

Gavin McBride had a chance to draw the game level at the death but his attempted 45 went wide of the right post.
