After a tight opening to the 2017 Ladies All-Ireland football final between Mayo and Dublin, a well-taken goal by Dublin's Niamh McEvoy gave this year's eventual champions a three-point lead.
Invigorated by this opportunity to overcome recent heartbreak at this stage, Dublin rallied as Mayo looked increasingly rattled.
Looking certain to double their goals tally, Mayo's #1 Yvonne Byrne was left with little choice but to take down an advancing Dublin forward.
Left with no real option, the referee Seamus Mulvihill issued Byrne with a yellow-card - a decision that carries with it 10 minutes in the sin-bin.
Visibly distraught, it was now down to her replacement Aisling Tarpey to face the ensuing penalty.
With the opportunity of putting Dublin 6 points ahead, Sinead Aherne looked confident.
Yet, with her first touch of the ball, Mayo's Tarpey pulled off a great save and Mayo remained within touching distance.
In what was a tightly-contested first-half to the All-Ireland final, Mayo were left in with a shout after Tarpey's heroics.

A few minutes into the second-half however, Byrne resumed her position in the Mayo goal after her 10 minute suspension had elapsed.
In what ultimately was another unhappy day for Mayo's players and fans alike, Tarpey's brief inclusion was a memorable moment nonetheless.
