After their first major set of showings last weekend, GAA GO will be broadcasting the game live, with coverage beginning at 18:45 ahead of throw-in at 19:00.
Form Guide
Limerick's form needs little introduction, they're the reigning All-Ireland Champions and plenty of people have them as the 2023 All-Ireland Champions in waiting. They've won three All Ireland's in a row and won this year's Division One National Hurling League.
Their form didn't slow last weekend either when they disposed of Waterford 1-19 to 0-18. However, it was a stacked Limerick team and some might have thought Limerick could've made easier work of it. With their discipline or lack thereof proving particularly contentious post-game, John Kiely will be hoping to see 15 men in green shirts on the field when the fulltime whistle is blown.
Clare on the other hand are coming into this fixture straight off the back of their Round One loss against Tipperary last weekend, a game they lost 5-22 to 3-23. The Banner County also struggled in the League recording just two wins for five games in Division 1A, particularly struggling against Limerick and Galway during that campaign (losing to this Limerick side 1-27 to 2-18)
Head-to-head there's no two ways about it Limerick are favourites and why wouldn't they be? They've been literally flawless for the past three years and at the moment are showing little signs of that stopping. However, Clare lost out to an admittedly impressive Tipperary team with goals the only difference. If discipline is a kink in John Kiely's armour and Clare can exploit it, we'll have a Championship thriller on our hands.
