Kildare secured a win over Westmeath at Cusack Park in Mullingar on Sunday afternoon, and while the final score was 2-09 to 0-11, all the talk after the game was about one score in particular.
Daniel Flynn was a late insertion into the Kildare lineup, and if he was trying to make an impression then he well and truly achieved that as he scored a superb solo goal, carrying the ball right through the heart of Westmeath before burying a shot into the top corner:
Picking up the ball in his own half and charging through on goal.. It bears a striking resemblence to this goal from the 2014 football championship, also scored by a Flynn:
Uncanny.
