"They swear allegiance to the cult of Kieran".
Joe Brolly did what he does best on RTE this afternoon: take the sample in front of him and see it in the wider context of a mess in the GAA. Armagh were outclassed against Cavan this afternoon, with the sole highlight being the performance of their batshit, maverick goalkeeper. While the general consensus was that Armagh were outclassed by a Cavan side with more firepower - Seanie Johnston was outstanding - Joe Brolly believed that Armagh suffered from a failure of Kieran McGeeney's system.
Brolly pointed out the vice-like control McGeeney exerts over Armagh - from a suspension of club football down to a medical student being told he was not allowed do weight training on his own - and claims that it has blunted the power of Armagh's forwards. It is also, according to Brolly, a reason why eight Crossmaglen players have left the panel. This did inevitably feed into a discussion about Championship structures. Watch below:

Opinion in Armagh is certainly against McGeeney; an opinion shared among his club.
Very poor show from @Armagh_GAA @JoeBrolly1993 is spot on!! Need a good manager in.

Brolly having a go at McGeeney as a coach but in fairness he made Seanie Johnston a hurler
