What a game this was! The weather conditions were incredibly tough, but that didn't stop Glen Rovers and Newtownshandrum from serving up a feast of hurling in Páirc Uí Rinn this evening.
It was a cracking game, with the Patrick Horgan led Glen Rovers ultimately coming away with the win to secure a place in the semi-final.
The Cork forward was in fine fettle throughout, even if he did miss a second half penalty. This score was classic Horgan.

While Horgan is no doubt the biggest name in the team, it was one of his teammates who made the telling contribution.
With his side trailing by three points heading into the final quarter, David Cunningham popped with a wonderfully taken goal.

Incredible technique.
A mention also has to go to goalkeeper Cathal Hickey, who pulled off two remarkable saves to stop Newtownshandrumfrom raising a green flag.
