Form Guide

Galway come into this game hot off the back of their Connacht Championship win. They've enjoyed a stellar season so far, finishing second in the Allianz Leagues and making the final as well as enjoying wins over Roscommon and Sligo en route to their provincial title. Paraic Joyce seems to have fixed some of the frailties associated with last year's side and if he can get Shane Walsh and Damien Comer singing off the same hymn sheet Galway will be a force to be reckoned with.

While Tyrone have been overshadowed by the success of Derry and Armagh in Ulster, they're certainly not a team to write off just yet. They finished fourth in the league with four wins and three losses beating Kerry in the process. However, a two-point loss to Monaghan in one of the games of the season saw Tyrone lose fall out of the Ulster Championship in their first round.

There's no doubt about it Galway are the favourites and look like serious All-Ireland contenders. However, when these two sides met for a ferocious battle in February only three points separated them. Despite that anything but a Galway win would most definitely be an upset out west.

It's just one change for Padraic Joyce with Paul Conroy making his return from injury and lining out in the middle of the field with Rob Finnerty dropping down to the bench as a result.

The star forwards Shane Walsh, Damien Comer and Matthew Tierney all start as Padraic Joyce tries to get them playing together to take this team to a whole new level.

There's just one change to the Tyrone side who lost to Monaghan in the Ulster SFC as Joe Oguz comes in at wing forward while Kieran McGeary misses out as a result.
