Monaghan goal-machine Conor McCarthy could be footing quite a hefty bill, after obliterating a camera when scoring the second of his two goals against CIT in the Sigerson Cup this afternoon.
The expensive piece of equipment belonged to legendary GAA broadcaster Jerome Quinn, with the injured party only complimentary of his fellow Ulsterman's 'smashing' finish.

McCarthy, and his UCD, teammates recovered from a sluggish start to punish their opponents at Belfield this afternoon, with Con O'Callaghan, Evan O'Carroll and Fiachra Clifford also raising green flags in a 5-08 to 0-10 victory, as the men from the capital chase their 35th third-level colleges title.
The Cork side had gone in at the break with a two point lead but the visitors failed to register a single score in the second-half, after midfielder Paul Walsh received his marching orders not long after the restart.
CIT will now have to negotiate a back door fixture next Wednesday if they are to progress any further in the competition they won a decade ago this year.
In this afternoon's other game, Garda College overcame Sligo IT by five points at Templemore, with Mayo man Ronan Carolan's late goal putting pay to the Connacht college's efforts.
