What an athlete. After a stunning year with Dublin, Con O'Callaghan is amongst the favourites for the Footballer of the Year award. You couldn't argue that he doesn't deserve it having been a driving force for the Dubs as they secured a famous five-in-a-row.
Still only 23-years old, the scary thing is he is only getting better.
As a number of Dublin players took well deserved holidays after last week's All-Ireland final, there was no such rest for O'Callaghan. He is back in action with his club this afternoon, but in a different code.
With just how successful he has been at inter-county level in football, it could be easy to forget that he is also an unbelievable hurler. He is a key component to the Cuala team, and has a pair of All-Ireland club medals to show for his efforts.
He lined out at centre forward for their Dublin SHC quarter final clash against Kilmacud Crokes and it didn't take him long to remind us of his quality. He netted an unbelievable goal inside the first five minutes.

He grabbed another less than two minutes later.
We're back underway at Parnell Park for the 2nd half of @CualaCLG v @KCrokesGAAClub in their #DSHCA QF.

What a player! He would ultimately finish with a personal tally of 2-3 as Cuala secured a comfortable win.
If this football thing doesn't work out for him, we have a feeling the Dublin hurlers might be able to find a spot for him somewhere.
