You're probably aware that Chris O'Dowd played Minor for his native Roscommon - the one-time heir to Shane Curran's throne between the sticks.
The Moone Boy creator and star might have made it big in America since the '90s, but there's no danger of him going all Hollywood on us any time soon.
Attending to help raise funds at the Club Rossie/American Friends of Roscommon GAA event in the American Irish Historical Society, 5th Avenue NY, O'Dowd recalled a story from his club career with Boyle circa 1997.
Current Roscommon boss Kevin McStay was the county's minor manager at the time, and as it turns out, he had more of an influence on O'Dowd's career than we had previously imagined.
Back when I played football I was a very serious man, and I asked my coach at the time - Kevin McStay - what he thought of me as a footballer.
And he said, 'You're a fucking joke!'
And that was really what brought comedy into my life,
O'Dowd said.
McStay will doubtless be chuffed to hear he's due credit for such works as The IT Crowd and Bridesmaids.
As touched on afterwards by O'Dowd, he was speaking at an event organised to raise funds for the development of Hyde Park. In essence, once Roscommon GAA show an ability to provide some funding towards the project, Croke Park have agreed to provide a very large percentage of the projected costs.
To raise awareness for the project, high profile GAA stars including Micheal Duignan, Cora Staunton and Bernard Flynn will join MC Seamus Duke as guests during the upcoming Club Rossie draw night, which will be held on Saturday May 14th in Hannons Hotel at 9pm.
To buy tickets for the draw, Roscommon GAA fans can visit www.clubrossie.ie, call to the County Board office, or contact a club officer.
Many thanks to Club Rossie for sending the video our way!
