We still haven't recovered from Aidan O'Shea's anguished cry when the pigskin slipped from his fingers in AIB's last Toughest Trade teaser video.
Tonight, they have dispensed another teaser, this one of Brendan Maher and his coming to grips with cricket in Adelaide.
Historians are blue in the face pointing out that cricket was the most popular sport in the country in the late nineteenth century, before declining rapidly as we moved into the twentieth century, a development which was only partially attributable to the GAA.
Many have noted that the areas in which cricket was most popular are the places where hurling now thrives. The places with the good land and tolerant, happy landlords, essentially. We figured that Maher's hand-eye co-ordination should come in handy with the willow. Maher has been hearing rather a lot of this sentiment.
The clip shows him smacking a few fresh airs and one wicket. Not good so.
Hurlers should have the skill set to excel at Cricket, @BennyMaher put that theory to the test in #TheToughest Tradehttps://t.co/OpJIYt6NOv
