The last time we saw Liam Neeson playing GAA on screen, he had just nonchalantly informed the late Alan Rickman that the IRA would be doing well to hang on another few weeks. Upon dropping this gloomy prognosis, he cheerfully scampered outside to kick ball with the kids in the back garden.
"Cork has the ball. Over to Galway". Mick Collins did not believe in possession football.
Liam Neeson was back in hurling country in North Antrim today and the ex-Ballymena hurler (so the Cushendall folk tell us) left a brief but ludicrously invigorating message in support of his countymen.
A crucial psychological blow has been struck in favour of the Antrim side.
And, of course, Dev spent much of his childhood in Limerick.
He hurled for St Patrick's in Ballymena but now he's a Ruairí Óg supporter!
