Down overcame Armagh, but it took a last minute penalty save from Jack Hazard to see them over the line, while Cavan's comeback kids proved that they don't know when they're beaten, coming back from losing positions in both of their last two games and booking their place in an Ulster Final.
There, they'll meet Derry to see who takes the crown, and with plenty of great matches to choose from, it's little surprise that all of this month's nominees for the Player of the Month come from the Ulster Minor Championship.
This year is the first year of the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards. Throughout the summer, players from each week’s games will be shortlisted by an expert panel of judges which consists of Donal Óg Cusack, Oisín McConville, Mattie Kenny and Andy McEntee.
