Pat Horgan lit up the Munster club semi-final in Walsh Park with a magnificent goal. Dave Noonan whipped in a sideline cut and Horgan, ghosting in at the far post, doubled on the ball, lashing it past Stephen O'Keeffe in the Ballygunner goal.
John Fenton would have approved.
It was a singular bright spot in a wretched second half for Glen Rovers, who were appearing in the Munster club championship for the first time since 1989, Having led 0-8 to 0-3, they ended up losing the second half on a mortifyingly one-sided scoreline of 0-16 to 1-1.
