Despite the game's status as an exhibition match, a major brawl broke out in the second quarter of the AIG Fenway Hurling Classic between Dublin and Galway.
The format, specifically designed to allow hurling be played on smaller pitches in foreign stadiums, has proved intriguing thus far. Early in the fourth quarter, Galway currently lead 40-36.

Naturally, some have gotten a bit nervy about such a spectacle being played out in front of foreigners. They have ice hockey over there though. Presumably, they'll be able to cope with a bit of shoving and jostling.

Shameful scenes at the GAA game in Fenway. Enjoyable format but ridiculous that an exhibition game would descend to this. #AIGFenwayHurling

As if this dust up us any representation of hurling. Tragically, it's exactly what'll make the sport distinguishable. #AIGFenwayHurling
