What with all the arguments over handshakes, added time and two-trick ponies there was no end of taking points from yesterday's Championship action and one of the more interesting tidbits came from the RTÉ studio.
Early in RTÉ's coverage of the Kerry vs Galway game, Michael Lyster drew attention to the fact that Colm O'Rourke had been at the Galway races during the week. The panel had a quick laugh and O'Rourke spoke about the feeling in Galway ahead of the game before Ciaran Whelan gave his two cents as well.
Then it was Joe Brolly's turn to engage in a spot of punditry and, almost two minutes after the mention of O'Rourke in Galway, Brolly stuck a rather pointed jibe in the direction of the Meath man.
Brolly's decision to bring that up O'Rourke's previous dealings in property was surely an unnecessary departure from an otherwise completely unrelated discussion.
