It turns out the first match Joe Brolly ever analysed on RTE was one he played in. It's the night of the 1993 All-Ireland final and everyone is giddy in whatever Dublin hotel that Derry had booked for the night.
Joe had evidently shook off the strange downer that accosted him in the showers after the game (he apparently stood there and wondered 'what the fuck was all that about?) and everyone got a great laugh out of Joe's desire to be the new Tom Cruise. He did an impromptu impression of Henry Downey and broke into nearly uncontrollable laughter.
However, he gathered himself to deliver an analysis of how Derry were more comfortable in the final than they had been in the semi-final against Dublin.
