If ever there was a game to get the end that it deserved, this was it. The All-Ireland final lived up to it's billing with an ending that few would have imagined. Kilkenny and Tipperary went toe-to-toe throughout and ended in a draw, 3-22 to 1-28.
That wasn't half the story though as a late (very debatable) free gave John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer the opportunity to claim the title. Bubbles struck it, Tipperary fans celebrated and referee, Barry Kelly, went to Hawk-Eye.
The system said it was wide and the sides have to come back on Saturday 27th September at 5 p.m. for the replay.
