Anthony Cunningham has had an interesting run as Galway manager. In 2012, he looked to have sparked something incredible in the Galway team as they utterly destroyed Kilkenny in the Leinster Final and brought the same opposition to an All-Ireland final replay.
However, in 2013 they experienced the familiar regression after a positive year, where Cunningham tells us they 'couldn't buy a performance.' He argues there was a big improvement in 2014, but the team were dumped out of the championship in early July after suffering a treacherous draw.
Ahead of the League, he talks to us about whether Galway should be in Leinster, where that 2012 Leinster final performance came from, what went wrong in 2013, the team's propensity to bleed heavily when another team gets a run on them, and how Galway are shaping up for the coming year.
