Ulster Bank have done a survey of GAA fans which has thrown up some interesting numbers. It really does just show that some fans want it more than others.
It's pretty surprising to see that 70% of Kerry 'supporters' would rather have €5,000 in lottery winnings than another All-Ireland under their belt. Desperation levels following this four year mini drought obviously are not that high yet.
Mayo though really want it more, a lot more, though possibly not quite as much as you'd expect for a county that hasn't won a All-Ireland since 1951.
One surprising number is how low Donal Óg Cusack ranks in terms of who people would like to sit next to at an All-Ireland. Stylish man, possibly the most in terms of talking about hurling on TV. Why would people prefer to sit next to Marty Morrissey or Pat Spillane?
A number that really does worry us though is that 100% of Laois men and women would not shave for a year if it meant their county would win an All-Ireland.
Would somebody please think of the poor people selling shaving foam, razors and waxing kits in these recessionary times?
