The start of the Allianz Football League tonight has been disrupted by a perfectly timed floodlight failure in Omagh. Monaghan flew out of the gates at the start of the second half, scored three unanswered points to take the lead against Tyrone and they didn't look like they had any intention of stopping. That was until the floodlights put a halt to things.
Apparently the lights will have to cool down before they can fire them back up but if Tyrone can regroup when things do get going again then it will certainly be a fortuitous moment for Mickey Harte's men. Monaghan lead 0-8 to 0-7 at the time of the stoppage.
