It appears as though Malachy O'Rourke is set to be the new Tyrone boss as he was the only nomination brought forward at a county board meeting earlier in the week.
The former Fermanagh and Monaghan boss has been highly sought after by most inter-county teams, including Derry, but it appears that the Red Hands have won the fight for his signature.
Although a Fermanagh native, O'Rourke has been living in Ballygawley in County Tyrone for over 20 years, and has won championships as a player and manager for Errigal Ciaran.
Under the four years of Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan, several players had decided to leave the Tyrone panel, despite being in the prime of their careers, so there is every opportunity that a few of them could be tempted to return under new management.
5. Mark Bradley
Mark Bradley was a regular starter under Mickey Harte and still played a crucial role in Tyrone's All-Ireland win in 2021 with Dooher and Logan, but his appearances that year mostly came from the bench.
The management opted not to bring him on in the final against Mayo, which may have played a part in his decision to leave the squad that summer, but now only entering his 30s, Bradley is still one of the most lethal footballers that the county have to offer.
His club Killyclogher are getting the full benefit of his talents as he routinely lights up the Tyrone championship, but maybe there's a chance we could see him in the red and white jersey once again.
4. Conor Cush
One of the stars of the u20 Tyrone team that won the All-Ireland in 2022, Conor Cush looked set to have a long and prosperous career for the senior team.
However, after seeing little to no football last season, he decided to leave the squad halfway through the campaign, and we are yet to see the best of the young forward.
Son of Tyrone hero Adrian Cush, the Donaghmore clubman is brimming with potential, so much so that legendary figure Owen Mulligan said "I just thought there was nothing like him", so hopefully we see more of the sharp shooter in the near future.

3. Michael McGleenan
Michael McGleenan is in an almost identical situation to Cush in that he was a part of the 2022 u20 All-Ireland winning team, is a son of a county hero (Mattie McGleenon), and just couldn't seem to get on the pitch under the old management so decided to step away.
The bulldozing forward has an impressive stature and an explosive burst that would cause any team problems, so O'Rourke could be on the phone to him very soon about making a return to the panel.
2. Lee Brennan
The Trillick forward has produced for his club time and time again, and whenever he was given an opportunity for the Tyrone senior team, he looked sharp, dangerous, and a serious threat for the opposition to deal with.
However, whether it was Harte, or the two men that just left the management, Brennan never seemed to get a fair shake at a starting place in the Tyrone forward line.
Who knows, maybe O'Rourke could be the man that gets him back in and brings out the best in him on an inter-county stage.
1. Paul Donaghy
Paul Donaghy is undoubtedly the main man for Dungannon Clarkes and is currently the top scorer of the Tyrone senior league, which is an impressive feat considering the talented forwards on show there.
Donaghy was a member of the team that won the All-Ireland in 2021, and even came on in the final against Mayo, but left after the league campaign the following year.
Now a couple of years later, Donaghy is in the prime of his life, and shooting the lights out for the Clarkes, so a phone call with O'Rourke on the other end of it might be on its way to the flying forward.
