Arva GAA in Cavan and Na Fianna in Glasnevin will receive €5000 donations from Sports Direct after two of their players won the first-annual Club Hub Competition, which was staged Saturday at Abbotsown by Balls.ie and Sports Direct.
Their players Annika Doyle and Kevin Bouchier each proved their mettle and won a GAA skills competition, beating club players from all across the country on what was a tremendous day for club spirit.
Ambassadors on the day were Kerry and Cork legends Marc Ó Sé and Bríd Stack.
The men's section went down to the wire, with Kevin Bouchier of Arva GAA winning an all-Cavan final against Fionnan O'Reilly of Mullahoran Dreadnoughts. Bouchier's winning kick will be long-remembered, as it bounced off the crossbar only to bounce over the post.

In the ladies section, Annika Doyle of Na Fianna also won a thrilling extra-time kick-off beating Karen Dalton of St Pauls/Delvin. Doyle said the money would help fund the ladies section of the club.
