For the first time in ten years, Limerick are in a National League semi-final.
On Saturday night at Parnell Park, they defeated Dublin by two to make the final four of the competition.
After the game, Limerick manager TJ Ryan, speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan, decried the 'vultures' within the Limerick media who have criticised his side. Disappointingly, he did not go into specifics in terms of names.
Ryan also claimed that there are 'hidden agendas' being used again the Limerick panel and some members of the backroom team.
If you come down to Limerick and see some of the vultures we have down there and listen to them and read them. There's hidden agendas all over the place. There's hidden agendas against this squad. There's hidden agendas maybe against some of the backroom team.
I'd like to thank and appreciate the supporters that came here tonight. This team is working hard, it is very young. We go from one extreme to the other. We go from talking about winning All-Irelands to sacking managers. Let's get real - we're in a League semi-final, let's talk about winning the league.
There's people with hidden agendas all over Limerick, unfortunately. It's been part and parcel of it. It's been part and parcel of my reign. It's frustrating.
Last weekend, Limerick missed out on promotion to Division 1A of the League meaning for the seventh year in a row, they will compete in the second tier of the competition.
Limerick are now in the strange position of being able to win the league but not be promoted.
