Ahead of their opening Munster Hurling Championship tie this weekend, Michael Ryan has named something of an experimental XV for Tipperary vs Limerick.
With five championship debutants among the starting side, Ryan has also made five changes from the side that lost the National League final to Kilkenny on April 8.
Missing some notable names from their starting XV, the likes of Seamus Callanan and Brendan Maher are amongst those due to start from the bench.
Callanan, who only returned to inter-county training in recent weeks after a long injury layoff, will surely play a part at some stage.
Compared to the XV that did start that ill-fated League final against Kilkenny, Daragh Mooney, James Barry, Michael Cahill, Maher and Michael Breen are the unlucky few who will not play from the start in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
For Brian Hogan in goal, he will now follow in the footsteps of his father Ken who also played in the Tipperary goal.
Alan Flynn, Barry Heffernan, Willie Connors and Billy McCarthy are the other Championship debutantes Ryan has selected.
Having got to last year's All-Ireland semi-final, only to lose narrowly to eventual All-Ireland winners Galway, Ryan and Tipperary will be keen to make a statement of intent ahead of another charge for All-Ireland success.
