What a game!
The Allianz League served up an absolute belter of a game of hurling between Kilkenny and Tipperary on Saturday evening, as a rollercoaster match finished in a draw with the final score Tipperary 2-17 Kilkenny 3-14.
TJ Reid was in scintillating form as he notched an impressive 3-5 including a penalty goal in each half and four frees, as Tipp needed a late score from substitute Steven O’Brien to remain unbeaten.
Michael Ryan and Brian Cody shared a laugh and a hand-shake at full time in a photo captured by Sportsfile that does a decent job of summing up how both sets of fans will feel.
It was all action from start to finish, with those who watched the game seemingly in agreement that a draw was a fair result as they tried to catch their breath after the final whistle. Many took to twitter to express their delight with what they had just watched.
Jesus, I love hurling! Now that's what I call a game! By anyone's standards, it was top drawer stuff! #MatchNightLive #AllianzLeague #GAA
