Tipperary set an All-Ireland Hurling Championship record today with their score of 7-38, against a an out of depth Offaly team who managed 3-18 on the day.
The sides were battling it out at Glenisk O'Connor Park in the preliminary quarter-final, and Tipperary ran riot from the off, showing the stark contrast between themselves and the Joe McDonagh Cup side, and scoring 3-25 by the end of the first-half.
Such was the demolition that it had fans questioning whether the structure of the Championship - which gives Joe McDonagh teams a shot ahead of superior sides who play in the Leinster and Munster Championships - was suitable.
At half-time, Bubbles O'Dwyer agreed that it was like a training match for Tipperary, and noted that the intensity which Tipperary have been playing with in the past few weeks was just too much for Offaly to handle.
Ye it is [like a training match]. Tipperary started very quickly there. Look it just goes to show the difference in intensity from the Joe McDonagh to Liam McCarthy.
Tipp started really, really fast and Offaly are trying to catch up but it's very hard for Offaly to come up to that intensity when they're playing games against the likes of Carlow and Laois and Kerry.
Look it's a learning curve for Offaly, but they just have to play on now.
Fans Criticise All-Ireland Hurling Championship Structure
Tipp and Offaly game shouldn't be going ahead, too much of a gap to be putting in a Joe McDonagh team at this stage, especially when Liam McCarthy teams themselves are gone.

As dominant a Tipp performance as I’ve ever seen, but as my late father used to say, a match as uncompetitive as this is no good for us pic.twitter.com/g5rPFfOxtz
