Tipperary have the won the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship for 2024 following a 2-17 to 0-16 over Clare in the final at TUS Gaelic Grounds on Monday night.
This is the second minor title that the Tipperary hurlers have won in three years. Coming on the back of the huge defeat the Tipp seniors endured on Thurles on Saturday to Cork, this result was much needed in the county.
The score at the break was 0-10 all, with both teams keeping pace with each other up until the last quarter of the match when a Cillian Minogue goal gave the Premier County a bit of breathing room to pull away.
A second Tipp goal scored by Stefan Tobin came minutes later and made sure that the John Doyle Cup made its way back to Tipp for the 42nd time.

There was a brilliant moment after the match between manager James Woodlock and his triumphant squad.
As Woodlock was conducting his post-match media duties, speaking to Tipp FM about the performance of his team, when he was chased away from the interview by his own squad, who came with water bottles in hand.
Woodlock showed he still had the pace that made him an All-Ireland winner with Tipp in evading the water. The joint celebrations with the players were brilliant.
He was full of praise for his team's performance and you can see the bond between him and his players in this video.
We were probably underdogs coming into the game, under a small bit of pressure after probably not performing to the way we could have all year. But I think we performed tonight.
But look, I'm really happy with the performance. I think the Munster championship gave us an opportunity to use our panel. We used 25-6 players I think today coming into a Munster final after five games which is huge.
I think we got the balance of the team right then overall. You can re-jig players here and there. We have a fantastic group of players inside."
Tipperary will continue their championship journey in the semi-final of the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship in June.
