Munster Hurling Round Robin Team News: Hegarty Named To Start For Limerick

We're at the ride-or-die stages of the Munster Championship as Clare take on Cork and Limerick take on Tipperary with a Munster Championship Final places at stake and one of the four sides destined to miss out on All-Ireland qualification. We have all the Clare Team News and Cork Team News ahead of their clash in Ennis as well as the Limerick Team News and Tipperary Team News ahead of their clash in Semple Stadium.

Clare v Cork Teams

In this top-of-the-table clash, the winner guarantees themselves a spot in the All-Ireland series and puts one foot inside the door of the Munster final.

Clare Team News 

A win for Clare would guarantee not only their spot in the All-Ireland series but also in the Munster final. They're flying high on confidence after an emphatic win over defending champions Limerick in one of the games of the season.

Clare have named just one change to the team from the last day out with Aidan McCarthy making his return from injury in place of Ian Galvin in what will be a huge boost to Clare's attacking prowess.

Cork Team News 

On the other hand, Cork have made four changes to their side since their draw with Tipperary. Team captain Seán O'Donoghue makes his return to the starting lineup for the first time this Championship with Ger Mellerick missing out as a result.

Injured Robbie Flynn also misses out in a huge blow to Cork's attack, with Conor Lehane replacing him. While Luke Meade and Conor Cahalane come in for Eoin Downey and Shane Barrett. The team in full is:

Limerick v Tipperary Teams

With both Limerick and Tipperary at risk of missing out on the All-Ireland series, the stakes couldn't be higher for the two sides who'll either sink or swim this Sunday. The clash of two of Munster's finest will be a huge task for Tipperary who will be fighting back a revenge-seeking Limerick.

Limerick Team News 

John Kiely has made two changes to the Limerick side that lost to Clare the last day out. Gearoid Hegarty returns to the starting lineup after a period of exile on the bench and plenty of speculation around his intercounty future while Mike Casey also comes in for Sean Finn.

Tipperary Team News 

There are four changes to the Tipperary team after their draw with Cork with the top change coming at goalkeeper where Rhys Shelly comes in for Barry Hogan. Tipperary veteran Patrick 'Bonner' Maher also makes his first Championship start since 2020 while Mark Kehoe replaces injured Jason Forde and Eoghan Connoly comes in for Johnny Ryan.
