Tipperary beat Cork on Sunday evening at the Gaelic Grounds to win the All-Ireland U21 Hurling Championship. It was a dramatic win for Tipp with the three-point margin of victory not reflecting the excitement of the closing moments.
After a goal in the 54th minute gave Tipp the lead, Cork hit the next four points to retake the advantage. A Conor Stakelum goal four minutes into injury time, added to by a David Gleeson point gave Tipp the win.
After the final whistle Sportsfile's Piaras Ó Mídheach withstood a Powerade drenching to captue the mayhem of the win, one which puts a gloss on what had been a miserable season for Tipperary hurling.
