Galway cornerback Jack Glynn made one most of enjoyable speeches we've witnessed from atop the Hogan Stand stand steps in years today after Galway won the U20 All-Ireland. Galway hung on to beat Dublin 1-11 to 0-13 points and Glynn was named man of the match.
After claiming the Clarke Trophy for the Tribesmen, Glynn admitted immediately he hadn't had time to write a speech because of university assignments at UL. Still, he delivered a casual and enthusiastic speech that also summed up the madness that Galway players had to endure this year, as they went through three pre-seasons before finally winning the GAA U20 competition.

'This one's for ye, Merry Christmas!' is certain to be an immortal line down around the Galway. Clarke was just as charming when he picked up his Man of the Match award on TG4.
When Jack Glynn captain of @Galway_GAA All Ireland winning U20 team was informed, that he was the @GAA_BEO MOM, I am convinced his response was “Who? Me” ... we might check it out.. Corner Backs don’t normally receive such awards!!! pic.twitter.com/guPt1dJKWO

This is the kind of infectious positivity the GAA needs.
