With apologies to the people of Derrytresk and the various other intercounty players caught up in legendary donnybrooks over the years, I feel there's no topping this Moyvane-Castleisland melee in terms of passionate GAA fights. The best things in the GAA are local, and that's equally true when it comes to violence. Just listen to the fans, baying for blood, stomping their feet on the aluminium stand, cheering their boys on as proudly when the fists are being thrown as when the football is being kicked. It's what the GAA is all about: pride of parish.
