Colm O'Rourke, irked by the dismissive manner in which his Donegal-Dublin analysis was treated in the RTE studio, lobbed the armchair general charge in the direction of his colleagues.
For the one thousandth time, Brolly and Spillane discussed how Dublin's naive, gung-ho approach in last year's All-Ireland semi-final saw them badly exposed.
O'Rourke rather firmly indicated he didn't agree one jot with what they said. Dublin's problem was a more age old one, that of flighty backs failing to attend to their defensive duties - Philly McMahon was highlighted.
Brolly and Spillane answered O'Rourke's assertions, with the former accusing him of totally misinterpreting the game and the latter accusing him of talking 'poppycock'. Annoyed by the unanimity on either side of him, O'Rourke lashed out rather intemperately.
