When it comes to jerseys GAA, fans don't mess around. They want to see their county sport only the finest of gear and won't be shy in letting you know if they don't think it's up to scratch.
Dublin have found that out this morning, with their new effort splitting opinion among supporters.
Ahead of the Christmas period, Dublin GAA have released pictures of their new jersey for the inter-county championships in 2023, and it's safe to say the jersey is polarising fans across the county.
Dublin GAA Release 2023 Jersey
The main body of the jersey continues to be the sky blue colour usually associated with Dublin GAA, but what is dividing fans is the return of the navy sleeves, not seen on a Dublin jersey since 2013.
The main sponsor of the county continues to be AIG, as their instantly recognisable logo fills much of the torso on this year's jersey. Similarly, the iconic collar remains, although it is not as pronounced as in recent years, thus helping the argument that this year's jersey 'looks like a training kit', as many are saying online.
Without further ado, here is the 2023 Dublin GAA jersey:

Objectively, Dublin's new jersey is not as exciting in it's design as in recent years, the colours pair well but there is a distinct lack of the imaginative patterns usually associated with Dublin jerseys. There is detailing in the navy sleeves, but it looks rather boring compared to some recent jerseys, for example, their 2021 jerseys:

Polarising Fans
The jersey will be available to buy from Thursday, but sales will receive a mixed response. On Twitter, some fans love the jersey, whilst others have expressed an extreme dislike for the stripe.
We wouldn't go as far as to say it's beautiful, as it is rather plain, but the colours work well and overall it's not the worst jersey we've ever seen.
Right that looks absolutely beautiful https://t.co/fimdVYFvk0

This fan would certainly disagree:
This is objectively an awful jersey https://t.co/fq3jxAUzQX

Dublin's new jersey is giving Manchester City Third Kit 2021/22 vibes, a bit dull and it ends up looking like a training kit:
Colours are nice, but it’s nothing spectacular - more like a training kit if anything https://t.co/ZH8bcEyaYy

However, former Dubs star Paddy Andrews seems to be a fan.

There is no middle ground with this year's Dublin GAA jersey, fans either love it or hate it. What do you make of it?
