It was a hard fought battle with the Longford Slashers taking an early lead but the Fighting Cocks lived up to their named and pecked back the Slashers lead before eventually running out comfortable winners.
I'm sure that they'll treasure this honour and put it right up there with their 2012 Carlow Intermediate Football Championship.
