It was a magic weekend for the people of Westmeath in the Leinster championship and it comes as no surprise that the winner of our player of the week poll comes from their team.
Indeed the biggest the debate centered around whether Kieran Martin or John Heslin should take the crown. Heslin actually led the poll early doors but support for Martin grew throughout the week and he has won the poll with 42% of the vote.
His two goals were instrumental in his side's comeback, not to mention the two fisted points which brought Westmeath level and then sent them into a lead they would never relinquish. Sunday was a proud day for Martin and a proud day for Westmeath.
In third place we had Ciaran Kilkenny of Dublin, who was one of many shining lights in his team's convincing win over Kildare. Donegal's Neil Gallagher took 6% of the vote following his man of the match performance at midfield during their hard fought victory against Derry in the Ulster football semi-final.
