Last weekend saw the first provincial finals of the Championship but of course, only one was fully decided, with Cork and Kerry doing battle again on Saturday week.
However, one honour which can be awarded is our footballer of the week, as we reveal the results of our poll.
Enda Smith and Michael Quinn both shone for Roscommon and Longford respectively but it comes as no surprise that our winner played a vital role in the match of the weekend.
Cork midfielder Alan O'Connor takes home the accolade with 42% of the vote, beating off his teammate Barry O'Driscoll. O'Connor treated us to a commanding performance at midfield, leading his resurgent Cork side in a thrilling encounter. Can he produce another display like that on Saturday week? If he does then the Rebel County will be there or thereabouts again.
Meanwhile, in the hurling, TJ Reid blew the opposition away in typical Kilkenny fashion; romping home with 59% of the public vote.
Reid typified the Cats' dominate performance against a Galway side that, despite performing gallantly, never really looked like winning. Elsewhere Conor Lehane's performance against Wexford was good enough for him to take second place while his rival for this weekend, Tony Kelly, took third place with 14% of the vote.
Will Lehane and Kelly make it into this weekend's poll? Cork v Clare promises to be a hotly contested encounter and big performance will be needed from both should their respective counties have any hope of progressing.
