The Electric Ireland Minor Camogie Star Team of the Year Revealed

Cork dominate the Electric Ireland Minor Camogie Star team of the year, with six of their players being included in the team.

Cork had an impressive season beating Waterford 1-13 to 1-10 in the 2023 Electric Ireland Minor All-Ireland Camogie Final to retain their All-Ireland champions status.

This is now four All-Ireland titles won by Cork in six years after they beat the Waterford side who they lost to earlier in the season.

All-Ireland runners-up Waterford also have a strong showing in the team of the year, with four of their players featuring in the all-star squad.

The rest of the 15 is made up of players from Galway (3), Kilkenny(1) and Tipperary(1).

This year’s Electric Ireland Minor Star Camogie Player of the Year is Cork’s Emily O’Donoghue.

O'Donoghue had a strong campaign for Cork, even picking up the Electric Ireland Player of the Match award in the All-Ireland final. The Bishopstown native scored an impressive 1-5 in the final against Waterford and was a threat to each and every opponent she faced, netting a goal in all of their last three games.

O'Donoghue's sister Caoimhe also features on the team, taking up one of the cornerback positions.
