The draws for Round 2B of the football qualifiers took place on Morning Ireland in the last couple of minutes.
The draw included a couple of big hitters and a couple of big names who may no longer be big hitters. For the first time in six years, Mayo enter the qualifiers while Cork and Kildare, both of whom suffered morale sapping defeats in the province were among the sharks awaiting the 1B winners at the weekend. The losers of the Monaghan/Donegal replay were also in the pot.
At the weekend, Longford beat Down after extra-time, Limerick beat Antrim in Belfast, Offaly demolished London in Tullamore while Fermanagh won down in Wexford.
The results of the draw can be seen below (first named teams play at home):
Mayo v Fermanagh
Donegal/Monaghan v Longford
Kildare v Offaly
Limerick v Cork
The pick of the round by some distance is Mayo v Fermanagh in McHale Park. It is a testing draw for a Mayo team who might have wanted a more generous draw to ease them into the qualifiers.
The losers in the Donegal/Monaghan clash will be highly favoured to progress against Longford.
Cork will be favourites against a Limerick side who surprised Antrim in Belfast but who were relegated to Division 4 in the spring. The same, of course, could be said for Kildare's conquerors Westmeath on Sunday afternoon. Their game against Offaly is hard to call. Home advantage may make them slight favourites.
The games will take place on the weekend of the 9/10th July.
