In an epic year of minor hurling, Tipperary came out on top and were crowned 2024 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Hurling champions after a titanic tussle with old rivals Kilkenny.
The teams could not be separated after 60 minutes in the final in Nowlan Park. Ultimately, after extra-time, a 13-man Tipperary conquered a determined performance from Kilkenny in a game that will live long in the memory as one of the greats.
James Woodlock’s side had Cillian Minogue and Darragh O’Hora sent off in the first half but they overcame all obstacles to emerge victorious.
