TG4's GAA series 'Underdogs' returns to screens on Thursday, September 12th with a brand new group of hopefuls.
The series sees footballers gather for trials with the aim of becoming part of the Underdogs team which will then go on to face of the best sides in the country. The only caveat for selection is that players cannot have played senior inter-county football.
Last year, the Underdogs took on Dublin XV at Parnell Park, losing heavily. They did so under the management of Valerie Mulcahy, Paul Galvin and Ray Silke.
Mulcahy returns to the show this season alongside new management team members, former Kerry boss Mickey Ned O'Sullivan, and former Donegal footballer Kevin Cassidy.
Each week management will have to drop one or more of the players from the Underdogs camp as only 28 can come with them to play the match at the end of October.
The details for the Underdogs' final match will be announced at a later date, including the opposition team, throw-in time and venue. The game will be broadcast live on TG4's GAA Beo on Saturday 26th October 2019.
The first Underdogs game will be broadcast at 9:30pm on September 12th.
