TG4 are heading to the home of the All-Ireland hurling winners Clare for the second round of the county championship this Sunday.
A 'group of death' pitted reigning champions Clonlara with Éire Óg Inis, Ballyea and Clooney Quin setting up a frantic finale over the next month.
Ballyea are already up against it after a first-round loss to Clonlara with the high flyers Éire Óg and Clonlara butting heads in Tulla this weekend live on TG4. Throw-in is Sunday at 2.30.
Clonlara got their title defence off to a stirring start with a 1-28 to 1-20 win over Ballyea a fortnight ago and they'll look to keep up that winning momentum on Sunday.
Clare star Ian Galvin hit 1-4 on a day where John Conlon, set free up in the forwards, scored four from play.
Curbing the influence of Éire Óg captain David Reidy and Hurler-of-the-Year-elect Shane O'Donnell will be high on Clonlara's agenda with the Ennis side full of confidence having defeated Clooney Quin in a thrilling first round.
O'Donnell hit 1-1 that day with Reidy managing 0-3 from play in a 1-20 to 3-13 victory. Tony Kelly (Ballyea) and fellow All-Ireland winner Peter Duggan (Clooney Quin) were on form in their side's losses, Kelly managing 0-6 (0-2f) while Duggan hit 2-5 (0-4f).
TG4 have already been in Kerry and Carlow this club season for their respective hurling finals before journeying to Armagh for the first round of their senior football championship last weekend.
Abbeydorney were crowned Kerry senior hurling champions while St Mullins defeated Mt Leinster Rangers in Carlow after a replay. RTÉ have not yet shown games this club season though they have had a Saturday GAA live offering over the last few years.
As usual, there is a blockbuster weekend of fixtures on the horizon over on Clubber, with Bennettsbridge vs James Stephens the pick of the bunch on Friday night in Kilkenny.
Ballyhale Shamrocks v Clara should be similarly competitive on Saturday while on Sunday, Rhode vs Tullamore is a heavyweight clash in the Offaly senior football championship.
