If all had gone to plan, we would currently be in the thick of the inter-county season. That hasn't come to fruition unfortunately, but the next couple of weeks will see the return of club action around the country.

Counties will be getting their club championships underway from next Friday, July 17th. With a maximum crowd of 500 people allowed to attend these matches, many will miss out on seeing them in person.

Luckily, TG4 have announced a cracking schedule of matches that will be aired on the channel.

Their coverage will return on Friday, July 17th with a game from the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, with St Martins taking on Oulart The Ballagh at Chadwicks Wexford Park. That one will throw-in at 7.30pm.

Sunday will then see the Dublin Senior Hrling Championship clash of Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden St Endas, a repeat of the 2018 county final. Throw-in from Parnell Park will be at 3pm.

TG4 have also announced another of other games that will be coming over the next few weeks, including the meeting of Corofin v Oughterard in Galway on August 2nd.

Presenter Micheál Ó Domhnaill had this to say about the return of live GAA:

I’m delighted and relieved to be back covering matches on GAA Beo.

After such a long time in lockdown we are all looking forward to some live action and while we have a long way to go before we can get back to anything like normality let’s hope that this is the first step.

Here's the full TG4 schedule for the coming weeks:
