16 years in a foreign land will do weird things to your accent.
Case in point: Tadhg Kennelly.
The Listowel man - who first moved to Australia when joining Sydney Swans in 1999 - was interviewed by RTÉ's Damien O'Meara before the fourth quarter in Saturday night's EirGrid International Rules game at Croke Park.
Kennelly, part of the Australian backroom team, flitted between an accent which sounded 25% north Kerry, 25% Roy Keane and 50% Australian.
It left many simultaneously amused and bemused.
Tadgh Kennelly's accent now halfway between Kerry and Australia. Don't know where that is, exactly but it's not a good place.

Tadhg Kennelly sounds like a cross between Roy Keane & Big Barry Hall.. What a terrifying prospect that would be. #EirGridIntRules

Listening to Tadhg Kennelly talk to another Irishman shows how much his accent has changed - almost sounds Aussie #internationalrules
