Three in four years. Limerick dominated the 2021 All-Ireland hurling final and they dominated the Sunday Game's hurling Team of the Year.
The All-Ireland champions have a record 11 players on the team, while finalists Cork have just one. The rest of the side was made up with one representative from Clare, one from Kilkenny and one from Waterford.
Unsurprisingly, Cian Lynch - who in such brilliant form both during and after the game - was named Hurler of the Year by the panel.

Picking the Sunday Game Team of the Year is never easy but there was a lot of criticism from viewers at home about the lack of players from Cork to be included. There were calls for the inclusion of Patrick Horgan and Tim O'Mahony. That said, it really could have been a team of fifteen Limerick. Interestingly, Gearoid Hegarty was omitted despite scoring 2-2 in All-Ireland hurling final.
We empathise with Nickie Quaid, who is such a phenomal keeper and essential to everything that Limerick does.
